Cancun, Q.R.– A man who was shot in the face Tuesday night has died. The man was shot while in his vehicle in the Paseos del Mar subdivision of Cancun. Police responding to the 9:30 p.m. report of the shooting were told by area residents that two men aboard a motorcycle chased him, shooting at him several times.
The driver of the vehicle was able to speed away from his attackers, stopping at a pharmacy where staff inside called 911. Paramedics treated the man on site for a bullet wound to his cheek before transferring him to hospital.
On Wednesday morning, doctors reported his death. Police have not commented publicly on their investigation.
