Man who targeted single Cancun mothers with daughters arrested for child pornography

Cancun, Q.R. — Two girls have been rescued and one man arrested after a Cancun property search. Local authorities say Didier Abdiel “N” was taken into police custody “for his alleged participation in acts that could constitute the crime of human trafficking in the form of child pornography.”

Didier Abdiel “N” was arrested after Cancun police searched his home and found sexually explicit videos. In a statement, the State Attorney General said Didier Abdiel “N” targeted single mothers with young daughters whom he took advantage of.

“This person’s modus operandi consisted of making the girls’ mothers fall in love with him in order to get close to them. He then proceeded to produce, store and share the child pornography,” the state agency reported.

During his arrest, police also rescued two girls aged 5 and 11 who were found in the home at the time of the search.

Authorities say they “detected that Didier Abdiel “N”, now captured, produced, shared and stored child pornography.”

Police found videos of him sexually abusing minors, “one three years old and the other 11. After recording them, he shared the material with others so a judge issued an arrest warrant against him, which was carried out by elements of the Investigative Police.

“At the time of his arrest, they seized objects of crime, and also rescued two underage victims.”
