Cancun, Q.R. — A man who lured women online with babysitting needs has been charged with rape. The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office says Erick “F” will stand trial for the rape of a young woman who responded to his need for a babysitter through an app.
According to the state agency, Erick “F” was picked up on an arrest warrant earlier this week. He is accused of raping an adolescent who was hired for a babysitting job. The unidentified young woman posted her services online through an app.
On the occasion of May 5, 2023, Erick “F” reportadly made contact with the young woman, hiring her to babysit. When she arrived at the agreed upon location, Erick “F” drove her in his car to a mountainous area where he raped her several times.
The FGE said that after Erick “F” made contact with his victim, he deleted his social media and digital app profiles so as not to be located. The state agency said that Erick “F” is also being investigated for a second rape victim with whom he deceived in the same manner.
His hearing is scheduled to begin in three months.
