Man wanted in Cancun for buying luxury vehicles with bad checks arrested in Mexico City

Mexico City, Mexico — A man wanted for buying luxury vehicles with bad checks in the state of Quintana Roo was arrested in Mexico City. The alleged repeat offender identified as Jean Karlo N, was also found with three false identifications on him at the time of his arrest.

According to Omar García Harfuch, the Secretary of Citizen Security of Mexico City, he was found in possession of three fake IDs and drugs. He is also believed to be a member of the criminal group Soto Jiménez, who, according to Harfuch, is a “criminal group dedicated to fraud and the purchase of luxury vehicles with bad checks.”

The 29-year-old was taken into custody in Mexico City after his identification in Plataforma Mexico revealed an outstanding arrest warrant in Cancun.

He is alleged to go by other names that include Jean Karlo Palacios Paz y Puente and/or Jean Karlo Paz y Puente and/or Jussif Alejandro Marroquín Zavala. He was arrested after being stopped by Mexico City police for driving a car without plates.
