Cancun, Q.R. — A man wanted on attempted murder chargers has been captured in Cancun. In a press release, the Attorney General (FGE) reported the arrest of Alexis O who, they say, attempted to kill a woman during a family conflict.
The FGE says the incident occurred in SM 62 of Cancun on October 2. Emergency 911 received a report of a woman who was set on fire by a man who is alleged to have thrown a flammable liquid on her before lighting it.
The unidentified woman received second and third degree burns to her body. She was taken to hospital where she remains. An investigation lead police to the now-detained Alexis O, who was apprehended after a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.
He is currently in the Cancun Social Reintegration Center.
