Cancun, Q.R. — A man wanted in the state of Jalisco was arrested in Cancun. The Wednesday arrest was for Roberto P, who local authorities report was wanted for the disappearance of a woman in Jalisco.
FGE officials say Roberto P was captured in the city of Cancun by investigative police from Quintana Roo, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported in a brief tweet.
“The FGE Quintana Roo reports that Roberto “P” was captured by agents of the Investigative Police PDI, in the municipality of Benito Juárez for the crime of aggravated disappearance committed by private individuals, committed in the state of Jalisco in September 2021, to the detriment of a female person.”
His arrest was in collaboration with the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office. He has been wanted on kidnapping charges since September of 2021. He was turned over to authorities who have already transported him back to Jalisco where he will face charges.
