Cancun, Q.R. — A man on his way to work Wednesday was stabbed to death in an early morning mugging. The unidentified man was walking to his job through SM 66 when he was intercepted and mugged.
Rather than hand over his belongings, he fought back. He was stabbed by his assailant with a sharp object and left. Area residents who witnessed the early morning murder on their street called 911 who responded with police and an ambulance.
Medical personnel from the ambulance found the man laying face down on the street already dead. Police combed the area but have not announced any suspects in custody.
