Cancun, Q.R. — Authorities in Cancun were sent to Puerto Juarez after a man was shot to death in broad daylight. The 2:00 p.m. shooting happened at the exit of the ferry terminal Tuesday.
According to preliminary information, the gunman arrived on foot. He shot his target several times at close range before running off. The injured man was left laying partially on the exit sidewalk of the ferry terminal where he was found dead by police.
The man was reportedly a local tourist service provider who took photos for a living.
The area was heavily guarded by the National Guard while police officers began their investigation and forensic personnel gathered evidence. Local authorities have not released any official information on arrests or possible suspects. The identity of the now deceased has also not been made public.
