Cancun, Q.R. — A man found luring Cancun women online through social media has been charged with prostitution and extortion.
“Given his alleged commission of the crime of human trafficking in the form of prostitution of others, personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) completed the arrest warrant for a male.
“Carlos Enrique “N”, who, according to initial investigations, posed as a woman on Facebook where he offered work,” the FGE reported in a public statement.
Through deception, he contacted at least one victim whom he met at a hotel where he recorded her having sexual relations and later extorted her. Carlos Enrique “N” is alleged to have demanded money in exchange for not distributing the video.
