Cancun, Q.R. — A motorcyclist was killed Sunday night after skidding his bike in the Cancun Hotel Zone. The accident was reported just before midnight by other motorists who saw the man lose control of his motorcycle.
Witnesses told police that the man was driving rather fast in the slow lane of Boulevard Kukulcán when he suddenly lost control and began skidding, which was when he was projected into the base of a palm tree.
Medical personnel were called to the accident at Kilometer six where they located the deceased man in the median of the roadway, a fair distance away from his bike. He is believed to have been a local hotel worker who had just left work. He has not been identified.
