Cancun, Q.R. — One of the men abducted from a construction site was found shot to death and left on a Cancun street. On Monday night, police responding to the residential report of shots fired arrived to find the body.
The body of the unidentified man was found left on a sidewalk after, according to area witnesses, he was removed from a car then shot three times. He is believed to have been one of six men abducted from a Cancun construction site earlier that day.
On Monday, police were sent to a hotel construction site after a 911 call. The call detailed shots fired and the forced removal of six workers from the site in the Cancun Hotel Zone. Several shell casings were found at the scene. The men were not located. Four vehicles were reportedly used in the kidnappings.
The ongoing investigation by the Quintana Roo Prosecutor’s Office indicates that the victims could be related to the sale and distribution of drugs. The body of the man found dead was on a street in SM 236.
