Cancun, Q.R. — The body of an adult male was removed from Playa Gaviota Azul Wednesday after being pronounced. The unidentified man, who is said to have been a visitor to the area, died by drowning Wednesday morning off a beach area of Kilometer 9 of the Cancun Hotel Zone.
An emergency report to 911 had medical responders on scene, however, the middle-aged man had already died. He was apparently alone on the beach at the time of the drowning.
