Man dragged by Playa Delfines current rushed to Cancun hospital

Cancun, Q.R. — A 49 year old man who was pulled from the sea at Playa Delfines was rushed to Cancun hospital. On Thursday, Javier “N” was rescued from a near drowning after being dragged by the current.

The man was rescued by members of the Cancun Fire Department after other swimmers reported seeing a man in distress. He was reportedly pulled from the water unconscious.

He was transferred to hospital after being revived on the beach. An unnamed friend of the victim told firemen that Javier “N” did not know how to swim and the moment he entered the water, was dragged out to sea by the strong current. The status of his health is unknown.
