Cancun, Q.R. — Rather than a ticket for a traffic violation, Cancun police arrested a man who they report was found carrying hundreds of street packages of crack cocaine.
A traffic violation caught the attention of surveillance police in Region 232 of Cancun. When police attempted to stop the motorcycle, the driver gave chase. Members of Cancun’s municipal police were able to catch the motorcycle.
Once stopped, the man reportedly attempted to flee. He was captured and searched. Police say after a search of 29-year-old Humberto N from Campeche, they found 280 packages of crack cocaine on his person.
He was taken into custody and handed over to the Public Ministry for an investigation into his possible relationship with drug distribution.
