Cancun, Q.R. — A man shot and killed while inside his vehicle has been identified as Nahúm N, a lawyer and head of a notary office in Isla Mujeres. The shooting took place Friday morning at an intersection in SM 41 of Cancun.
While at a red light along Chichén Itzá Avenue, Nahúm N was intercepted by a subject on a motorcycle and shot through the driver’s side window. His body was found by police who responded to the 10:00 a.m. call of the shooting.
Witnesses reported the subject on the motorcycle was “disguised” as a well-known local food delivery service company.
Nahum N was head of public notary based in the Continental Zone of Isla Mujeres. Some media reports say he was involved in an on-going dispute over a 5-hectare piece of property in the Cancun Hotel Zone.
