Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Police on Isla Mujeres attended to a two vehicle accident Friday between a golf cart and motorcycle. According to early information, the driver of the golf cart attempted a roadway U-turn, cutting off the oncoming motorcycle driver.
The afternoon crash left the bike spilled and the golf cart damaged. The accident happened on the island’s busy Rueda Medina extension when the motorcycle driver, who was traveling south, suddenly encountered the golf cart.
Isla Mujeres Transit attended to the crash scene while Red Cross paramedics treated the injured motorcycle driver for minor abrasions. He was not transferred to hospital. The golf cart was a rental and the driver reported to be an island tourist.
