Cancun, Q.R. — Residents out for a Sunday walk in a neighborhood mangrove area stumbled upon a body. The body of a man was found in a slumped-over kneeling position Sunday afternoon.
Police were notified of the finding next to the Punta Sam roadway. He was found fully dressed with his hands bound behind his back.
State police were first responders to the scene.
According to initial reports, the body had gunshot wounds. At least one gunshot was noted about his head.
Forensic Medical Services were called to remove the body while police gathered evidence. The deceased has not been publically identified.
