Cancun, Q.R. — A man who tossed his wife off a second story balcony then threw bricks at her when she became hung-up in a tree has been charged. Police say Ángel “N” has been charged “for his alleged involvement in acts possibly constituting the crime of attempted femicide.”
The incidents for which Ángel “N” is being investigated occurred on the night of April 24 of this year, when he showed up at the victim’s home in the Avante irregular settlement outside Cancun to demand money.
“The victim, his wife, told him she had no money which angered the now-defendant, who hit her and then threw her from the second floor of the house where she remained suspended in a tree. When she didn’t fall to the ground, the suspect threw two concrete bricks at her head,” authorities said in a statement.
