Cancun, Q. R. — On Friday, state and federal agents reported the discovery of a grave with human remains. The grave was located in a new residential subdivision of Cancun that is still under development.
With homes still under construction, police arrived at the site Friday morning where the human remains were located. The clandestine grave was discovered near the residential construction zone in SM 319 of Cancun.
A convoy of Ministerial Agents, accompanied by elements of the National Guard and the Secretary of the Navy, entered the La Rioja Avenue property around 10:00 a.m. where they began a search.
A dog was brought in to help. It was in a green area where agents located belongings and additional remains. Forensic personnel were called in to collect evidence and remove the remains found. No other information was provided.
