Cancun, Q.R. — A late night roadway accident in the Cancun Hotel Zone has left two dead. A man and woman, both in their 20s, died after the male driver lost control of his motorcycle.
Emergency services were at the scene of the accident near Kilometer 10 of Kukulkán Boulevard Sunday night where they found a dead driver and injured passenger. Both lanes were closed due to the magnitude of the accident.
According to early information, the pair were riding with a group when they skidded. The man was found laynig face down in the center of the Boulevard. He was pronouced dead at the scene.
The woman was found laying on her back on the road near the central median. She was transferred to hospital by ambulance but died shortly after being admitted. Neither were wearing helmets.
