Cancun, Q.R. — Extensive material damage from an early morning house fire has been reported by authorities. Early Monday, Cancun firemen were requested at the scene of a house fire in the Tierra Maya Subdivision in SM 105.
Neighbors reported seeing flames erupt from the inside of the empty house around 5:30 a.m. They rushed to the home and pushed open the front door, rescuing the two dogs inside.
When firemen arrived, the inside of the home was fully engulfed. The inside of the tiny home was ruined by the fire and water. The owner of the home is working with city officials to determine the cause of the fire.
