Home Depot agrees to an 8 percent wage increase for state workers

Cancun, Q.R. — After an April 29 meeting with Home Depot, CROC union representatives were successful in leaving the table with an 8 percent wage increase for the company’s 400-plus Quintana Roo workers.

Isaías González Cuevas, CROC union leader in Cancun, reported the 8 percent increase for all Home Depot workers across the state, noting that during the meeting, Home Depot agreed to honor the contract.

The eight percent wage increase will be reflected on Home Depot workers in Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Chetumal.

On Thursday, Cancun Home Depot workers protested outside the Cancun store demanding a pay increase and better working conditions.
