Cancun, Q.R. — News of an early morning accident along Cancun’s busy Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard had police and ambulances arrive. At least three people were injured in the two vehicle crash that happened around 6:30 a.m.
Cancun’s traffic department reported that the driver of a tourist van traveling south to north invaded the oncoming lane and crashed into a bus. The head on collision left three people with injuries, one serious.
It was not clarified if the injured were from the tourist van or bus. Authorities cordoned off the scene while paramedics and firefighters worked to deal with the accident.
The driver of the van was arrested from the scene. There was no word on charges.
