Girl abducted by Cancun father returned to mother

Cancun, Q.R. — A little girl who was abducted by her father has been returned to her mother. Mila “L” went missing December 13 after a visit with her father. Her mother, who has custody, was reunited with her daughter Thursday after being gone for more than two weeks.

According to a report by the State Attorney General’s Office of Quintana Roo, the 10-year-old was located in the custody of her Mexican father in Cancun after a scheduled visit. Her parents are of Russian and Mexican origin and are divorced.

The state released an Amber Alert after the child was reported missing. She was found unharmed December 29 and returned to her mother.
