Cancun, Q.R. — After more than an hour of searching, a missing four-year-old boy was found dead in a cistern. The child was found by his parents drowned in a home’s cistern on the property.
Police responded to the report of the child being found drowned at 11:22 a.m. Monday. The report was dispatched through the Cancun C5 Centre who sent police to the home in Colonia Santa Cecilia.
His parents told police that he had been missing for about an hour before they finally found him. Quintana Roo Police agents cordoned off the area while a forensic medical team came to remove the body.
