Four suspects formally charged in March murder of Cancun man

Cancun, Q.R. — Four men are to remain in custody for their likely participation in aggravated homicide. Police in Cancun say formal charges have been laid against Elvis Alejandro “N”, Eulice “N”, Leunan “N” and José Armando “N”.

All four men are facing charges “for their probable participation in acts possibly constituting the crime of aggravated homicide to the detriment of a male victim,” they said.

“According to the investigations, the events occurred on March 11 of this year, in Superblock 64 on Andrés Quintana Roo Street in the Donceles neighborhood where the victim lost his life as a result of gunshot wounds.

“Initial investigations indicate that the accused participated in the planning and execution of the crime. José Armando “N” is believed to have been the one who carried out the direct attack with a firearm, while the other individuals involved participated in coordination, surveillance, and transportation.

“After committing the crime, the accused hid inside a property.”

Police reported that Elvis Alejandro “N” is also being prosecuted for his probable participation in drug dealing.

All four have been ordered pretrial detention for a period of two years or for the duration of the judicial proceedings.
