Four arrested in Cancun for possession of guns, drugs

Cancun, Q.R. — The Secretary of Public Security of Quintana Roo has announced the arrest of four individuals identified as William N, Salvador N, Samuel N and Leonardo N after they were found in possession of weapons and drugs.

According to the corporation, the arrest was made in the Villas Otoch subdivision during a tour by police, who saw an exchange of bags of drugs. Upon seeing the patrol unit, all four fled in a Veracruz-plated truck.

Police were successful in intercepting the vehicle. Upon a search, police found 42 bags of crack and 23 bags of powered cocaine. Two loaded weapons were also found.

According to the Quintana Roo Public Security Secretariat, it is presumed that the four detainees are related to violent robberies committed in the municipalities of Solidaridad and Benito Juárez.
