Cancun, Q.R. — A surveillance tour in the Cancun Hotel Zone lead police to the capture of four armed men. The group were traveling in a vehicle along Kukulkán Boulevard at Kilometer 24 when police noticed them heading toward the nightclub area.
The driver of the vehicle was stopped and the car inspected. Inside, police located two loaded AR-15 style firearms. In the trunk were hundreds of rounds. One of the magazine located in the trunk is reportedly that of a Quintana Roo police officer who, months before, had reported it stolen.
The four men, who have not been identified, were taken into custody.
