Cancun, Q.R. — A former Cancun police director was shot over the weekend as he arrived at his home. On Saturday, Felipe “M”, a former Deputy Director of the Municipal Police, was shot at outside his house in SM 91.
Members of his family transferred him to hospital in his vehicle. According to early information, he was targeted by subjects from a motorcycle who fled the area after the shooting.
At least three bullets penetrated the windshield of his private vehicle. Two more took out the entire back window of his pickup, leaving bullet holes in the seat’s headrests. He was hit twice. Once in the chest and once in the back.
He remains critical in Cancun hospital. Local authorities have not made a public comment on the shooting.
