Fleeing Yucatan man captured after police stumble upon dead body in abandoned Cancun building

Cancun, Q. R. — A 29-year-old man from the state of Yucatan has been arrested for his alleged responsibility in the murder of a Cancun man. On Sunday, Tomás Martin “N” was arrested, accused of the murder of a 25-year-old male found inside an abandoned building.

The body of 25-year-old Wilber Adalberto “N” was found inside an abandoned building by police in SM 214 of Cancun Saturday evening. Police made the 6:20 p.m. discovery after stopping to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked near the building in the Los Santos subdivision.

Patrolling officers noticed a company security truck without plates parked outside. During their inspection, they located the dead body of Wilber N who was found with his hands bound. He was found laying face down at the bottom of a set of stairs.

Next to the body were two men who police believe arrived in the company security truck that was parked outside. They fled when they realized police were in the building. Both ran toward a green area where one managed to escape. The other, 29-year-old Tomás Martín “N”, was captured and arrested.
