Tulum, Q.R. — Five men in custody for the deadly shooting in a Tulum cenote parking lot in January will be tried. All five have been officially charged for their individual roles that left one person dead and another injured.
“A judge issued the order to proceed to trial for five men for their alleged involvement in events possibly constituting the crimes of aggravated homicide and injuries, which occurred in the municipality of Tulum,” police reported over the weekend.
Authorities say Cristian Eduardo “N”, Hugo Daniel “N”, Fernando Jonathan “N”, Adán Osvaldo “N” and Pablo Jesús “N”, are facing a variety of charges for the January 9, 2026 shooting.

One of the accused, Pablo Jesús “N” is facing charges for organizing the logistics for the shooting, being the person responsible for renting a hotel where the hitmen stayed, police reported in January after his arrest.
All five were arrested separately in Playa del Carmen shortly after the Tulum parking lot attack that left one person dead and another, a cenote security guard, injured.
Police said that Cristian Eduardo “N”, Hugo Daniel “N”, Fernando Jonathan “N” and Adán Osvaldo “N” are also facing charges of drug dealing. All five have been ordered to remain jailed during their trials.
