Five detained after reports of armed men inside Cancun hospital

Cancun, Q.R. — Five men were taken into police custody from the General Hospital of Cancun after allegations of holding someone against their will. According to the FGE, elements of the Municipal Secretary of Public Security and Transit of Benito Juárez arrested five people for deprivation of liberty.

In a statement, the FGE reported that Daniel “N”, Samir “N”, John “N”, Juan Carlos “N” and Waldo “N”, all retired soldiers, were detained with a 9-millimeter firearm, two magazines and additional ammo.

The five men were arrested after officers received a report of men carrying weapons inside the hospital. Upon arriving at the scene, they arrested the men after they staged a scandal between them in which the alleged victims stated that they had been illegally detained by the now arrested.

For this reason, they were taken into police custody and placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office for an investigation and clarification of the case.
