Cancun, Q.R. — Two dead bodies seen in a cenote were reported to Cancun police Tuesday. The bodies, said to be of two males, were seen at the bottom of a jungle cenote in the Copa Buena region of the city around 7:00 a.m.
Cancun firemen were requested to assist in the removal of the bodies from the water. Both bodies were transferred from SM 242 by the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) for autopsies.
Local authorities have not provided information on the bodies found. It is not known if they are the result of a murder or an accident.
