FGE investigating human remains found near Cancun Hotel Zone

Cancun, Q.R. — Forensic specialists continue to investigate human remains found at the entrance of the Cancun Hotel Zone Thursday. The remains appeared Thursday morning in a green area along with a threatening message.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has confirmed the discovery of human remains at the intersection of Bonampak Avenue and Kukulkán Boulevard, specifying the finding of an upper limb of a male person and “a card with a message of threats”.

The remains were reported to Emergency 911 around 10:30 a.m. at kilometer zero of the Cancun Hotel Zone. Authorities are examining whether or not the remains belong to the body of a man found inside an abandoned home earlier that same morning.

It was around 9:00 a.m. Thursday when a homeless man made the discovery of the remains of an adult male in an abandoned home in region 100.
