Female highway flagger rushed to Cancun hospital after being hit by dump truck

Cancun, Q.R. — A female highway flagger was rushed to Cancun hospital Friday after being hit by a dump truck. The woman was transferred by ambulance after she was struck by the large unit while working.

The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. on a section of Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard that is being remodeled. The woman, Suri “S”, was flagging traffic when the driver of the truck, 42-yuear-old Adrian “V”, hit her.

Other workers called 911 to request an ambulance. She was transferred to an IMSS hospital in serious condition with reports of a head injury. Cancun Transit officers arrived and proceeded to arrest the driver of the truck.
