Cancun, Q.R. — An adult crocodile of approximately 5-meters in length has been spotted numerous times by area residents. The large reptile is living in the Bojórquez Lagoon of Cancun where it continues to attract attention.
Laguna Bojorquez is one of the areas where several crocodile specimens are often seen. It is part of the integrated lagoon system of the main Nichupté Lagoon. On this particular occasion, the adult was seen with, what is believed to be, two offspring.
The crocodile with her young have also been seen waters in front of the Cancun Convention Center, which lies on the shore of the Nichupté Lagoon. Due to the intense vehicle traffic and the constant passage of people, it is not as common to see crocodiles lingering in that area.
