The FGR executed a judicially authorized search warrant as part of an investigation for the commission of crimes typified in the Federal Law to Prevent and Punish Crimes Committed in Matters of Hydrocarbons, they said.

During the inspection, agents from the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) located a tunnel-like excavation with approximate dimensions of 4.75 meters long, 1.60 meters wide, and 1.47 meters high.

Authorities said the tunnel is located 20 meters from a PEMEX pipeline crossing.

The search warrant was executed on a property located on a dirt road within the Cosmópolis neighborhood in the municipality of Apodaca, Nuevo León. The search was conducted by members of the Apodaca Municipal Police, who provided the respective security.

The property was secured and placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF), attached to the Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor’s Office (FECOR) in Nuevo León, who continues with the integration.
