Cancun, Q.R. — A family lost their home Friday night due to a fire. Early reports say two children were playing with candles when the fire happened.
Cancun firemen were sent to the Tihosuco neighborhood in the outskirts of Cancun Friday night in response to reports.
The minors were reported alone at the time of the incident. They were able to escape before the home went up in flames. The owner of the home, 45 year old Ambrosio “P”, told police he left the house for a few minutes while he walked to the store.
When he came back, he found his home burning. He confirmed his children were not inside before calling for help. The entire wood and palapa house was consumed by the fire.
