Cancun, Q.R. — Carlos Mario Zacarías Jiménez has been sentenced to 50 years for attempted femicide and rape against a minor. The suspect was sentenced Friday.
Carlos Mario Zacarías Jiménez was accused of raping and then burying his victim in the back yard after he believed her to be dead. According to police, the incident happened in May 2021 in an area outside Cancun known as Santa Cecilia.
