Cancun, Q.R. — A private car and a near-empty public combi managed to crash Thursday night while traveling along Nichupté Avenue, despite the fact there is a mobility restriction and roads are void of traffic.
The Route 6 combi was allegedly attempting to join Nichupté Avenue without giving right-of-way to an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the combi unit ended up being hit by the oncoming car, which suffered a smashed front passenger side.
The combi driver, 50-year-old Jacobo C.N. nor the motorist, 25-year-old Eduardo F.F. were hurt in the incident. The handful of combi passengers were also without injuries.
