Cancun, Q.R. — A dump truck driver who lost control of his unit ended up on the center median of roadway in the Cancun Hotel Zone. The incident happened Monday afternoon when the driver lost control along Bonampak Avenue after the vehicle in front slowed. The dump truck driver swerved left to avoid a collision, which resulted in him taking out a city light post.
After taking out a city light pole, the truck slammed into a palm tree. The front end of the unit received a fair amount of damage. The driver of the truck, 23-year-old Luis Antonio N, was not injured in the mishap.
Traffic agents arrived at the scene of the accident to carry out the corresponding procedures for damage to public property, while they waited for a large two truck to remove the heavy unit.
