Cancun, Q.R. — The male driver of a car was killed in Cancun Tuesday night after being the target of gunfire. The shooting happened around 9:00 p.m. in the Paseos del Mar subdivision while he was sitting inside his parked car talking with a woman.
According to resident witnesses, two men aboard a motorcycle lined up with the car when one began shooting. Numerous bullets penetrated the car’s windows, killing the young driver and seriously injuring the female passenger.
Police reportedly took one suspect into custody from the SM 251 shooting area. He was located inside one of the residential buildings and was taken in for questioning as a person of interest.
