Cancun, Q.R. — A single vehicle rollover sent a Cancun man to hospital Sunday. Cancun Transit officers were called to the scene of the accident where they arrived to find a car wrapped around a tree.
The accident was reported Sunday night when the 59-year-old driver, Alfonso “C”, was traveling along Kukulcán Boulevard and lost control near Kilometer 1 of the hotel zone.
Emergency services arrived with paramedics who treated the driver at the scene before transferring him to a local hospital. Transit officers were left to deal with the demolished car that was wrapped around the base of a palm tree.
The injured driver is reported to be a restaurant supervisor in the Cancun Hotel Zone. Police continue to work to find the cause for the single vehicle accident.
