Cancun, Q.R. — A motorcycle driver was left hung-up on the side of an SUV whose driver fled the scene. On Monday, both drivers collided at the intersection of Arco Norte and Centenario Avenues leaving the motorcycle driver injured.
According to the official report, the early morning accident occurred when the driver of a black SUV was traveling west-east on Centenario Avenue and invaded the right of way, colliding with a motorcycle that was traveling north-south on Arco Norte Avenue.
The motorcyclist was left seriously injured after the impact and was transferred to Cancun hospital by ambulance. The driver of the SUV fled the scene of the accident before Cancun Transit officers arrived.
Traffic authorities continue to identify the person responsible for the 7:30 a.m. crash.
