Cancun, Q.R. — Two occupants of a compact car were rushed to Cancun hospital Thursday after a high-speed collision with several palm trees. Cancun firemen were at the scene along with Transit police around 2:00 a.m. after 9-1-1 reports of the accident.
A compact car was found crumpled in a roadway median in SM 4. The accident happened on a section of Enrique Savigñac Avenue near the Tajamar Boardwalk when the driver is alleged to have lost control.
The car hit several palm trees along the way before finally come to rest in the roadway median. Driver distraction and wet road conditions are being factored into a cause for the single vehicle crash.
