Disturbing public order complaint gets Cancun extortionist jailed

Cancun, Q.R. —  A citizen complaint has lead to the arrest of a Tabasco man alleged responsible for business extortion in Cancun. On Monday, the Secretary of Citizen Security of Quintana Roo reported on the arrest of 29-year-old José Fernando from Tabasco.

“The arrest was made in the vicinity of Superblock 36 at the intersection of Xcaret and Palenque Avenues where the male was disturbing public order,” they reported. When police arrived and intervened, the now-detained “put up resistance and tried to hit them.”

After his arrest, police interviewed representatives of nearby companies who pointed him out as the person alleged responsible for crimes of extortion.
