Dignitaries recognize 43 newly graduated police officers

Cancun, Q.R. — Authorities of the Government of Quintana Roo led the graduation ceremony of 43 new elements. The new police officers graduated from the Initial Training Program of the State Preventive Police.

The ceremony was held in the civic esplanade of the State Security Complex C-5 of Cancun Thursday. Governor of the state, Mara Lezama, accompanied by dignitaries, reminded the new officers that their duty “is a commitment to the safety and well-being of citizens.”

During the ceremony, the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC), Julio César Gómez Torres, reminded the new graduates that the role of the police is crucial as they will be in the first line of contact to ensure the peace and tranquility of the people Quintana Roo.

Each of the new graduates was presented with a certificate of graduation from the six-month course during the Cancun ceremony. The Governor was accompanied by Cancun Mayor Ana Paty Peralta de la Peña, who also extended congratulations to the graduates.

At the ceremony was also Judge Heyden Cebada Rivas, President of the Superior Court of Justice, the president of the Quintana Roo DIF System, Verónica Lezama Espinosa, the Secretary of Government Cristina Torres Gómez, as well as José de la Peña, coordinator of the State Security Cabinet.
