Cancun, Q.R. — The decaying body of an adult male was found in the Alfredo V. Bonfil area outside Cancun. Police were requested at Alfonso Alarcón Morales Street Thursday morning after a passerby made the grisly discovery.
Officers from homicide also arrived at the 9:30 a.m. scene since there is a possibility the body could be that of a man reported missing Tuesday. According to reports, the man found Thursday morning was shot to death.
Last week, the bodies of two missing Cancun businessmen were located in that same area in the suburbs of Cancun. Both men had been reported missing by their families the same week they were found.
Alfredo V. Bonfil is a small delegation on the outskirts of the urban zone of Cancun that was, at one time, seven kilometers from the city, however, population growth has seen the two merge.
