Tulum, Q.R. — Two more people have been arrested in the shooting at a Tulum cenote that killed two people. According to police, three people were shot in the parking lot of the cenote on January 9, two of whom, died.
One person was reported treated for non-life-threatening injures, while the other two were rushed to Playa del Carmen hospital. Both of those men have since died.
On Monday, police announced the arrests of two Fernando Jonathan “N” and Adán Osvaldo “N” who they said, were involved in the death of an Argentina man. Since Monday, the second shooting victim died.

Police now say a total of four men have been arrested in relation to the cenote shooting that left two people dead.
On Tuesday, the State Attorney General (FGE) reported on the most recent arrests of Hugo Daniel “N”, alias “El Maniaco” and Cristian Eduardo “N”, who they say “probably participated in the attack that took the life, by gunshot wound, of two people and injured a third, in Tulum.”
In their report, the FGE said “the aforementioned events occurred near the parking lot of a recreational cenote located on the Tulum–Carrillo Puerto federal highway. As a result, two more subjects were arrested. They are Hugo Daniel “N” and Cristian Eduardo “N”.”

Both men were picked up on narcotics charges from a street in Playa del Carmen. To date, all four are facing charges of aggravated homicide of two men and the attempted homicide of a third.
While police say the fatal shooting was not related to the recent electronic music festival, they did say it was drug-sales related.
