Cancun, Q.R. — The driver of a compact SUV that slammed into the back of a CFE truck was left with serious injuries Tuesday. The accident was reported to emergency services around 2:00 p.m. by witnesses in SM 227.
Cancun firemen were called in after responding paramedics found the driver trapped behind the wheel. The driver of the white SUV slammed into the back of a Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) industrial vehicle that was parked on Centenario Avenue.
Witnesses say the driver of the SUV was driving very fast and lost control of which resulted in him crashing into the industrial CFE vehicle. Firemen used the jaws of life to cut him free for hospital transfer. He was taken to the General Hospital in serious condition.
